3 Day A Week Workout Works

New to exercise or a veteran in the field, finding the time to work out is often half the battle. We all wish we could hit the gym five days a week, but lets be honest, fitting a five-day plan into your schedule just does not work, no matter how many times we try.

But don’t be discouraged, because a 3 day plan can sometimes be just as effective. 

Your 3 Day Game Plan

Ideally, you want one day of rest in between these workouts.  Rest is a crucial part of the plan because when your working out, you’re damaging muscle tissue, rest will help repair that.

Your goal is to hit the gym 3 times a week putting in 45 to 60 minute sessions.

If you’d like to swap one session occasionally for a class such as kickboxing or spinning, feel free. But try to do this on day 2 of the 3 day week if possible, giving those core muscles the rest they need.

You also always want to incorporate a 5 minute warm up routine. here is one we suggest: 

  • 20 seconds of jump squats.
  • Tight forearm plank for at least 30 seconds.
  • Repeat these two basic steps 3 to 4 times
