Working with mainstream artists to promote clothing products is a move that has been used by many fashion brands all throughout the years. By hiring famous personalities such as singers and actors or actresses, these fashion houses can count on their popularity to make their respective clothing collections a hit in the market. Just recently, another major deal has been established between a popular name in the music industry and one of the world’s famous fashion houses. And that is no other than The Chainsmokers and Tommy Hilfiger.
Just a few days ago, Tommy Hilfiger himself announced that he’s going to be working with the EDM Duo hit makers on the company’s upcoming menswear campaign. The Chainsmokers’s Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart will be the ambassadors for some of the company’s trademark collections such as Hilfiger Edition, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored and Tommy Hilfiger sportswear.
In a statement released by Hilfiger, he lauded The Chainsmokers for their prime status in the music industry and their ability to produce great fusions of different music genres. He then also added that Taggart and Pall themselves are a great representation of what a modern day Tommy guy would look like. And that because of their talent, positive attitude and effortlessly character, they were able to stand out and mark their respective place in the always hectic music industry.
Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart on the other hand said that like Tommy Hilfiger, they believe in the importance of celebrating one’s individuality and uniqueness. The Closer and Paris hit makers aren’t the only music acts Tommy Hilfiger has worked with. The fashion brand previously made dressing and sponsorship ties with the likes of Usher, The late David Bowie and his wife Iman, Mark Ronson, Lenny Kravitz and even Britney Spears during one of her previous North American tours.
